At the heart of the STIGA Estate 3398 HW is a Briggs & Stratton Intek 7200-Series engine; enjoy powerful torque with reduced vibration, lower fuel-costs and fewer unpleasant exhaust-emissions. The Estate 3398 HW is a pleasure to drive, with its foot-controlled hydrostatic transmission enabling the ground-speed to be adjusted in infinite increments, which in turn confers a level of maneuverability that can’t be achieved with a lower-specification manual-drive tractor. It’s equipped with a washing-link that makes it quick and easy to remove any corrosive debris accumulation from the deck underside; and it benefits from anti-scalp gauge-wheels that prevent the corners of the deck digging-in to the turf when turning on slopes or rolling ground. A three-in-one machine, the Estate 3398 HW can be set-up to either collect clippings in its 240-litre collector; discharge them directly onto the ground via the rear exit-chute; or turn them into a natural fertilizer by processing them through the mulching system. Powerful but energy-efficient LED headlights make it possible to keep working in poor light; while a freshly redesigned bonnet with improved air intakes works to optimize engine performance. The 98cm cutter-deck on this model can be raised and lowered through seven stages (25-80mm) to suit the prevailing grass-conditions. Comfort-features include a soft-grip steering wheel, an adjustable seat and a cup holder.
